Netsmart Showcases Meaningful AI and New Innovations of the CareFabric® Platform to Optimize Community-Based Care at NatCon25

Netsmart, an industry-leading provider of healthcare IT for human services and post-acute care, announces its participation at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing 2025 Conference (NatCon25) taking place May 5-7 in Philadelphia. This year, Netsmart will showcase innovations in augmented intelligence (AI), automation, revenue cycle management (RCM), next-generation medication assisted treatment (MAT) software and the latest advancements of the CareFabric® platform.

At NatCon25, Netsmart will showcase the transformative power of AI-driven solutions at the AI Data Lab, illustrating how these technologies can enhance electronic health records (EHRs) to empower staff and optimize processes. Attendees can explore developments in generative AI, automation, predictive analytics and natural language processing (NLP) and hear from Netsmart experts through “TechTalks” in the booth.

The Netsmart Meaningful AI strategy aims to minimize manual, repetitive tasks to empower staff, optimize processes and simplify reimbursement. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Bells, the comprehensive AI solution, featuring its advanced capability, Bells Virtual Scribe, which helps reduce the administrative load on healthcare providers through ambient listening, near real-time transcription and suggested note generation. Serving as a clinical coach, Bells, leverages AI-driven suggested improvements, flexible data capture, guided assessments, note templates and clinical recommendations to help make clinical documentation faster and easier for staff.

“Connection and collaboration are key to navigating the behavioral health landscape, and the annual NatCon event gives us the opportunity to do just that,” said Kevin Mallot, SVP & Managing Director of Human Services, Netsmart. “We believe Meaningful AI is more than just an application; it’s a comprehensive platform strategy. Our focus on augmented intelligence supports the capabilities of staff and clinicians, allowing them to drive better outcomes. At Netsmart, we're committed to building a foundation for lasting innovation and improved experiences across the healthcare system.”

The advanced Bells solution helps Netsmart clients across the U.S. target documentation time and support fidelity to best clinical documentation practices. Additionally, Bells utilizes NLP to interpret content, support linguistic accuracy and facilitate logistical tasks based on documented details, enabling organizations to audit notes and summarize patient progress effectively.

In 2024, Bells delivered over 6.5 million clinical documentation recommendations and streamlined more than 2.2 million signed notes1. This innovative tool integrates with many workflows, including Netsmart telehealth, enhancing the virtual care experience by bringing its AI skill set to these interactions.

Attendees will also explore cloud-based RCM solutions designed to help providers accelerate cash flow, streamline productivity and enhance profitability. AlphaCollector™ utilizes robotic process automation (RPA) to help your collection staff engage with clients at the optimal time, ultimately maximizing efficiency. A key component of AlphaCollector is Benny, a digital collections sidekick, simplifying the billing and collection process, targeting a faster, more accurate and less labor-intensive experience. With Benny’s assistance, organizations can achieve a 46% reduction in collector actions to payment2.

Netsmart will highlight the latest addition to the CareFabric platform, following its acquisition of Substance Abuse Medication Management Systems (SAMMS) Healthcare Group, a leader in software solutions for substance use and addiction treatment. Through this collaboration, Netsmart will enhance its Methasoft EHR solution by integrating SAMMS' industry-leading billing technology, targeting top-notch clinical and financial offerings for MAT providers. Netsmart is committed to supporting the existing SAMMS solution while also developing a next-generation multi-tenant SaaS EHR designed with best-in-class dosing and billing capabilities specifically for MAT providers.

One of the event features is an immersive experience inside a mobile healthcare unit, developed in collaboration with Netsmart Marketplace Partner Vandoit, located in booth 711. This unit is equipped with Netsmart technology solutions such as telehealth, integration to the client treatment history and mobile dispatch software that support mental health services on the go—whether in a remote rural area or a busy urban center.

As part of our ongoing collaboration with the National Council, CareManager™ has been named the preferred care coordination solution for driving interoperability, operationalizing data and providing analytics that enhance insights for sites implementing the CCBHC model.
