Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported Q2 2022 sales of 79,105 Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars and 19,730 Vans, bringing MBUSA to a grand total of 98,835 vehicles for the quarter, an increase of 6.9% over the comparable period last year. On a year-to-date basis, MBUSA recorded sales of 141,356 Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles and 33,418 Vans. This brings MBUSA’s total year-to-date sales to 174,774 units, a decrease of 4.2% versus 2021, a result of supply challenges and restrictions.

On June 11, 2021, a vendor informed Mercedes-Benz that sensitive personal information of less than 1,000 Mercedes-Benz customers and interested buyers was inadvertently made accessible on a cloud storage platform. This confirmation was part of an ongoing investigation conducted in cooperation with the vendor. The issue was uncovered through the dedicated work of an external security researcher. It is our understanding the information was entered by customers and interested buyers on dealer and Mercedes-Benz websites between January 1, 2014 and June 19, 2017.
